Riverlane — Decode quantum, Recode the world

Quantum computing is the moonshot of our time. A trillion-dollar race to build machines capable of simulating and reprogramming materials, medicines and systems for the good of humanity.

But there’s a catch. Qubits, the building blocks of these machines, are fragile and error prone. Riverlane are world leaders in quantum error correction, but the quantum category hadn’t yet caught up to just how critical, and how vast, this challenge really is.

We helped Riverlane see that in order to achieve their ambition of 100% adoption they needed to push past their humble instincts, and own the scale of their challenge. QEC is the hidden mountain inside the quantum moonshot. The closer you get to useful quantum computers, the bigger and more insurmountable it appears. And the more indispensable Riverlane becomes.

We created a brand vision that could power this shift: Decode quantum. Recode the world.” Five words that reassert Riverlane’s unique and obsessive focus on QEC, while placing it at the centre of quantum’s transformational story. Positioning them as a player that will uplift the entire community. And achieving total business transformation in the process. We then made an uplifting’ brand ecosystem to deliver.

Our brand design system had to match the ambition: bold, clear, and free from the clichés of the category. At its heart, the Riverlane globe visualises our mission: turning raw, noisy quantum data into logical qubits with which humans can change the world.

v3 invested the energy, strategic and lateral thinking to understand our technology, industry and competitive landscape. This is no small feat given the complexity of quantum computing technology and the fast shifting global value chain. This underpinning helped ensure the creative output was outstanding both visually and strategically.

The result is a brand that doesn’t just tell Riverlane’s story — it entangles the brand into the story and fate of the entire industry. Riverlane is now the mission-critical partner for any company with the ambition to usher in a new quantum era.
