Designed by architects Heneghan Peng, the Palestinian Museum is a landmark moment for Palestinians everywhere, celebrating their accomplishments in the arts and culture. Sitting in the foothills outside of Jerusalem, the museum aims to connect Palestinians with each other and tell stories from their perspective, creating a new narrative of engagement, education and hope.
The museum is a physical home of Palestinian culture but also a digital hub sharing exhibitions, ideas and building dialogue with the global audience. The Welfare Association, an NGO based in London that develops humanitarian projects in Palestine, invited v3 to articulate the vision for the museum and imagine a new brand to express its unique place in the world.
We developed the new brand idea, ‘the home of voices’, and created an iconic logotype in the form of a speech mark to represent the conversation between the museum and its global audience. The logotype, which also reflects the museum’s angular architecture, can be flipped to mirror the dialogue between different languages that the museum hopes to facilitate.
